What files can I send?
STL, 3MF, OBJ and STEP (.step or .stp). One quote can hold up to 50 parts, with each file up to 100 MB and 250 MB in total.
Start a quoteMy part came out the wrong size. Why?
STL, OBJ and 3MF files don't reliably record their units, so the quote tool reads them as millimetres. If a part was drawn in inches it will look about 25 times too small. Change its scale in the quote tool before you submit. STEP files carry their real dimensions.
How is the price worked out?
From the material your part uses and the machine time it takes, at the quality you pick. Change the scale or the quantity and the price updates as you go.
What happens after I submit a quote?
You get a reference number and a confirmation email. A person reviews every request and checks the parts before anything is printed, and we'll be in touch about the next steps.
Do my files get uploaded while I try things out?
No. The quote tool and the other tools on this site run in your browser. Your files only leave your computer when you submit a quote.
Do I need an account?
No, you can get a quote without one. With an account your quotes are listed under My quotes, including ones you sent before signing up with the same email, and you can keep project files and revision notes in one place.

Within the United States, for now. Most orders go by USPS Ground Advantage. We also ship with UPS and FedEx, so if you need one of those, say so in Project details when you send your quote.
How much is shipping?
It depends on the size of your order and where it's going. Shipping is included in the final price you see once your quote is reviewed, so you know the full cost before you pay.
Can I pick up my order in Medina?
Not yet. For now, every order ships.
How long does an order take?
It depends on the size of the order. Most orders take 2 to 7 days, and some are ready as soon as the next day.
Can you rush a job?
Sometimes. It depends on what's already on the printers, so we can't promise it. Put your deadline in Project details when you send your quote, or email us at hi@malachitelabs.com, and we'll tell you if we can make it.
What materials and colors can I choose?
We print in PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PA (nylon), PA-CF (carbon-fiber nylon) and TPU. The quote tool shows the material for each quality option. For color, say what you'd like in Project details when you send your quote, or email us at hi@malachitelabs.com.

Is there a minimum order?
No. A single part is fine.
Can you help design a part or fix my file?
We may be able to. Send your file through the quote tool and describe what needs fixing in Project details, or email us at hi@malachitelabs.com, and we'll let you know.
What if a part arrives damaged or wrong?
Email us at hi@malachitelabs.com and we'll figure it out with you. We print the file you send, so we can't take responsibility for problems in the design itself. Check the size and details in the quote tool before you submit.
